Professor Jay Duker Delivers Lectures on OCT to Ophthalmologists in Ghana

Dr. Jay S. Duker, professor of ophthalmology and chair of vitreoretina and ophthalmology, Tufts University Medical School recently worked in Ghana as a Unite for Sight Global Impact Volunteer. During his stay, Dr. Duker spent most of his time at the North Western Eye Centre operating vitreoretina cases with Dr. Gyasi. Prof. Duker was the first VR surgeon to work at North Western after setting up its vitreo-retina unit. The height of Dr. Duker’s visit was when he provided a lecture on OCT utilities to a packed audience of Ghanaian ophthalmologists. His lecture was praised as one of the finest and most useful in recent times. Dr. Duker is planning a sustainable collaboration through Unite for Sight and other partners, to provide regular vitreoretina services to the people of Ghana.
